  • Thumbnail image of news article.The U.S. Ambassador Raul Yzaguirre, announced the launch of the new program "Youth Alert" sponsored by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to promote opportunities for young Dominicans of 8-25 years years old living in situations that place them at risk. USAID has donated US $20 million (RD $ 790 million) to implement this program over five years. With this initiative, young people will have the opportunity to develop their talents and values, their social reintegration with educational programs and technical training, and be productive people who contribute positively to society.

The Capotillo sector component of the "USAID Youth Alert" program will be implemented and managed by the Dominican Institute for Integral Development (IDDI).
